Favorite Albums of 2013.
If I were to go into detail about each of these I’d end up writing reviews for all of em. So I’ll just keep it short and general. These are the albums that I returned to listen to often and/or was generally impressed by the quality of the album. Vocally JT’s album was amazing and the production helped highlight that with songs running on average about 7min. Beyoncé had one of the strongest female R&B albums I’ve ever heard. Ariana combined broadway, R&B, and pop into a cohesive and friendly album with few misses, vocal perfection and sheer production. Gambino and Drakes albums were both impressive and both grew on me featuring the singer/rapper formula that always brings me back to a album. Drake had a very solid and strong album with multiple standout tracks. Ferg’s album had some of my favorite production of the year. Some nice bangers on there. Overall pretty underrated. Kid Cudis album was also overlooked mainly because it had too many tracks and peaked early in its track list but the album had some of my favorite moments of the entire year. He also had some of the weirdest collaborations that he made work with his own production. Paramore, Kings of Leon, and Daughtry all had albums that brought me back to some of my favorite songs of the year. They all had moments on the album I could do away with but overall there were too many strong points for them not to be included.
Notable mentions: OneRepublic - Native, Union J - Union J, J. Cole - Born Sinner, Mac Miller - WMWTSO, ASAP Rocky - LongLiveASAP, Fall Out Boy - Save Rock & Roll, and The Wanted - Word of Mouth.
Kendrick Lamar - The Heart -> The Heart Pt. 2 -> The Heart Pt. 3
J.Cole - Dollar & A Dream -> Dollar & A Dream II -> Dollar & Dream III
Simba -> Grown Simba -> Return of Simba
Drake - The Calm -> The Resistance -> The Ride
If you listen to them in order you notice how much the artist has changed lyrically and their lifestyle.

Theres way more people that want it than people that have it"

"Don’t you go getting married, don’t you go get engaged
I know you’re getting older, don’t have no time to waste
I shouldn’t be much longer but you shouldn’t have to wait
Can’t lose you, can’t help it, I’m so sorry, I’m so selfish"
Drake, Good Ones Go (Interlude)
